Unhealthy fear takes many forms. It can be called timidity, shyness, anxiety, worry, doubt, dread, fear of failure, fear of success, procrastination, etc. Fear is often described as "False Evidence Appearing Real." Even though you know it isn’t real, unrealistic fears can still prevent you from moving forward.
God says “Fear not!” 366 times in the Bible so we can remind ourselves every day to not be fearful. Fear is the opposite of faith. When fear is present, faith cannot operate. Faith activates God while fear activates the enemy.
To conquer your fears, go ahead and do the thing that you are fearful of doing! In other words, do it even with fear right there. Don’t let fear stop you! Pray and ask for God’s help, knowing he will help you overcome your fears. Isaiah 41:13 (NIV) says, "For I am the LORD your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you."
